Wow! End-of-Quarter Team-Building Celebration :
All of the students enjoyed the raffle tickets received based on the number of eagles they kept throughout the quarter. As part of the ABC BeAttitude, you have reaped the results in Celebration! Good job! Keep up the good work and behavior. Continue to be responsible every day through the use of the ABCs of the YESS System:
ABC BeAttitude
You choose your…Attitude.
You choose your…Behavior.
You reap the results in Celebration or Consequence.
Your Choices build your Character.

Class 2015:  The seventh graders walked to Queen Emma’s Garden and had a wonderful time.  The teachers had organized a rotation of competitive and creative races and games.
Class 2014:  The eighth graders bused over to Magic Island for a hot and beautiful beach day with competitive sports and swimming (lifeguard provided).

2nd Quarter, Time for a New Beginning:

We look forward to another to another great quarter! Students, remember to thank your teachers for planning and coordinating the End-of-Quarter Teambuilding day and raffle prizes for you.  Your enjoyment and hard work this past quarter inspires your teachers, as they too look forward to a new quarter.  We all reflect and focus on how to best support your continued success and to make learning as fun and engaging as possible.

ABC BeAttitude 1st Quarter Focus: Be Kind

We will celebrate the 1st Quarter BeAttitude: Be Kind awardees on October 19th Advisory Assembly. Mr. Hom has written a song that helps to remember what it means to you, me and all of us what people can do to Be Kind. We will also be introducing a new and exciting award for students who have gone “Above and Beyond.”

Students will be recognized at the Advisory Assembly; receive a BeAttitude Certificate; and $5.00 Jamba Juice gift card.

ABC BeAttitude 2nd Quarter Focus: Be Caring

The ABC BeAttitude 2nd Quarter focus will be Be Caring.  Showing care is:
•    Doing what you can to help others without expecting anything in return.
•    Not laughing at others’ misfortunes or mistakes.
•    Helping your parents or teachers when they are busy or stressed by doing your chores or passing out supplies in the classroom without being asked.
•    Befriending a new or lonely student at school. Choose your words with thought.
•    Show an attentive listening ear to parents, teachers or friends through eye contact and verbal feedback.
•    Be a good friend and stop another friend from gossiping or spreading rumors.
