From the MS Principal (Mrs. Little):
  • 7th Graders:  You will be going to the Honolulu Academy of Arts on May 13th.  Please have your field trip forms turned in to your HR teacher by Wednesday, May 7th.
  • 8th Graders:  Please turn in your Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park field trip form and $20 to your homeroom teacher by Friday, May 9th.  If you have a year-long pass, present it to Mrs. Silva.
  • All Students:  You are responsible to turn in all your rental textbooks no later than your final exam dates.  Be sure to follow your teachers’ instructions on how to turn in your books.  Turn in all late books to the middle school office not to your teacher.  A lost book fee will be assessed if your book is not returned. Damaged books are subject to fee.  A letter about the lost or damaged books will be sent home to your parents.

From the MS PE Teachers (Mr. Witsell and Mrs. Aguiar):  Congratulations Middle Schoolers, you guys are awesome!  We raised $3,180 dollars in our Hoops for Heart Service Project.  Thank you so much from the bottom of our American Hearts!  Go Eagles!

From the 7th Grade PE Teacher (Mrs. Aguiar):  All 7th graders- There will be a Health Test on Chapter 12 on Friday, May 9th.

From the 7th Grade Geography Teacher (Mrs. Yorita):  All 7th graders- Immigration Project (Oral Presentation) - May 21, 22, 27.

From the Supplemental Programs Office
: Summer School 2008- Summer School 2008 registration deadline is May 9.  Check your catalog for courses and registration form, or go online @ www.hba.net - Supplemental Programs

From the Christian Ministries Office (Mrs. Gruspe):
  • SOMETHING will be here tomorrow after school.  Yes, tomorrow is the start of SOMETHING new.  Come to the Middle School MPR 15 minutes after school ends for a time to worship and to seek God and to let God do SOMETHING in your life.
  • Last Servant Group meeting of the year will be this Wednesday, during lunch in Ms. Mueller's room.
  • Cultivate a Servant's Heart.  Join together with others for the purpose of serving in Christ's name. How?  Be a part of HBA's Servant Group.  Not only will you have the opportunity to serve in Waianae during the Servant Group Camp, you will also have opportunities to serve the community throughout the year as well as your fellow students.  Love others by serving them.  Please stop by the middle school office to pick up an application for the 2008-2009 school year.

From the Athletic Director (Mr. Oshiro):
  • All Spring Sport Athletes:  If your season has been completed, please launder and return your uniform to the athletic office as soon as possible.  Thanks.
  • All 7th & 8th Graders:  If you're interested in participating in basketball, volleyball or cross country, please check out the summer sports schedule that will be going home in your folders today.  Have your parents contact the athletic office if they have any questions.  Thanks.
  • All StudentsCome out to cheer on the boys varsity volleyball team this Tuesday, May 6th at 6:00 PM, here at HBA as they take on University High for the ILH division II championship!  Turn out and make some noise for our boys!  HBA Pride...GO EAGLES!  Thanks.

MS Teachers will distribute yearbooks in MPR after school.
Students, during lunch, you will need to put your books in your F period classroom.  Be ready to begin class by 12:45 or at your teacher’s direction.
