1.    EXPLORATORY Tuesday, 9/29/09 11:35 – 12:25.
Freshmen:     9L report to tech lab for Career Kokua
                         9S report to B-306 for Career Kokua
                         9F, 9H, 9T, and 9Y report to homeroom

Sophomores:    Sign up for career speakers with Ms. Neely

Juniors:      Report to the cafeteria.

Seniors:      Report to the MSMPR.
2.    Interested in Mock Trial?  Come to Room 105 on Friday, Oct. 2, at lunchtime.  This would be a good day to bring a sack lunch so you can be prompt.  The schedule will be announced.  If you have a conflict and cannot come, but want to be involved, please let Miss King know.

3.    May Day:  Aloha to all students at Hawaii Baptist Academy.  This Friday will be May Day performer sign-ups in front of the cafeteria.  Please pray about whether or not you would like to participate in this very special event.  Hawaiian Club members will be at the table to sign-up female and male performers, musicians, and student choreographers.  Mahalo nui loa- Ms. Chong

4.    May Day Committee meeting!  Those of you who signed up to be on the May Day committee, please meet in Ms. Chong's room in 106, today (Monday).  We need to vote on the theme for the May Day program.  Mahalo!  Ms. Chong

5.    All Students:
  Please check the Lost and Found department for any items you may have lost prior to the fall break.  Thank you.  {Miss "D."}

6.    All Students:  Make plans to get out and support the girls varsity volleyball team this Thursday and Friday, October 1st and 2nd.  HBA plays Word of Life on Thursday at Kamehameha at 5:00 PM.  That match will be televised live on OC 16!  Be sure to have your school ID.  Then, Friday is the 7th Annual Spike Nite...HBA plays St. Francis here at 6:00 PM.  There will be FREE pocket fans and saimin, teri-beef sticks, popsicles and drinks for all who attend courtesy of the HBA Athletic Booster Club.  Get your Fall Break off to a great start by coming to enjoy the food and fellowship!  Thanks, Mr. Oshiro

7.    All Fall Sport Athletes:
  Mr. Tan will be on leave this Thursday and Friday, October 1st and 2nd.  Therefore, ALL athletic bus transportation (except bowling) will be through Roberts Hawaii.  Please refer to the schedules posted outside the athletic office and at the middle school homerooms and snack bar.  Thanks,

8.    *Feed your hungry brain and plan on visiting the middle school's Scholastic Bookfair, which will be held in the MS Reading Room (M202) from September 29 - October 1!  {Mrs. Quek}

9.    CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS:
a.    Fellowship of Christian Athletes. There's a FREE pizza lunch today in the gym for the final FCA meeting of the quarter!!  All are welcome to come...even those of you who haven't come to a meeting yet this year.  Today's guest will be Myles Shioji, head coach of the girls varsity volleyball team.  If you play sports or are interested in sports, come with your friends and enjoy the fellowship as we support each other and learn how to grow our faith and be servant leaders.  Thanks, Mr. Oshiro

b.    Servant Group. 
Servant Group will be going to City of Joy on Saturday, Oct. 3rd.  Please pick up a permission form from Mr. Lockridge if you want to participate in this outreach.  {Mrs. Gruspe}

c.    Hawaiian Club.  Aloha Hawaiian Club members!  There will be a short meeting on Thursday in
Ms. Chong's room 106 during lunch.  Please show up promptly when the bell rings!  Mahalo- Ms Chong

d.    Interact Club.  Attention Interact Club Members!  There will be an Interact meeting this Friday at lunch in the gym.  Please be prompt.  {Mrs. Goya}

9th GRADE:  Cabin Sign ups for 9th grade camp will be tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 29th, during break in front of the Christian Ministries office.  {Mrs. Gruspe}

10th GRADE:
  To All Sophomores:  The PLAN test will be given to all sophomores on Friday, October 2 at the Middle School.  On that day, please go to your regular homerooms at the start of the school day.  After that, please to walk to the OLD (unoccupied) guard house, located on the high school side of the main entrance.  Since testing is scheduled to continue through E period, you may want to stop at the restroom briefly before proceeding to the guard house. We may have to wait at the guard house for a brief time while we wait for the Middle School students to leave for their excursions. We will then move as a group to the Middle School campus.   Once there, please proceed to your assigned testing rooms.
        Please bring 2-3 #2 pencils (or a mechanical pencil with a equivalent lead) and a good eraser. You are advised to bring a book or a quiet activity in the event that you complete the test before the end of the testing period, and your HBA jacket is recommended.
        Testing room assignments will be announced in homeroom before October 2nd.  {Ms. Neely}
