9th-12th Grades:

1.    REMINDER:
The high school basketball court where the school buses are parked, the PE locker building and surrounding area, and the area above the ramp leading to the art building are all off-limits before school starts.  Students who are found to be there before school are in violation of being in an unauthorized area.

2.    MAY DAY (Ms. Chong):
a.    Aloha to all students!  May Day nominees have been counted and formal May Day ballots will be distributed the week of November 30th.  Please vote for individuals who would best represent your class as a May Day court member.  Mahalo for your participation in this very special event and for your patience in the early process of choosing representatives.
b.    If you are a wahine (girl) May Day performer, there will be a meeting today, Monday, in
Ms. Chong's room (106) during lunch to discuss the May Day program and also to get measured for costume.  Please arrive promptly!

3.    All Winter Sport Athletes:  There will not be any bus transportation for athletics this Tuesday, November 24th as it's a half-day schedule.  Please plan accordingly.  Thanks, Mr. Oshiro

4.    All Fall Sport Athletes:  Please remember to launder and return all school-issued uniforms to the athletic office as soon as possible. Thanks, Mr. Oshiro

5.    The Office of Hawaiian Affairs
(OHA) Kako'o Ho'ona'auao, K-12 Family Education Assistance Program, is accepting applications for financial assistance for the Spring 2010 semester.  Deadline is December 1, 2009.  Please go to:  http://www.chaminade.edu/oha/ or call Trenton Payne, Chaminade University of Honolulu, at

6.    STUDENT COUNCIL.  Wednesday is the last day to purchase Winter Banquet tickets.  Tickets are on sale in the mall at lunch.  Students who will not be attending with a date should complete the "Winter Banquet Guidelines with HBA Guest" form, leaving the Guest portion on page 2 blank.
Be sure to read the rules about appropriate dress and dancing.  Students or guests who are not in proper attire may not be allowed to enter the banquet.  {Mr. Herder}

12th GRADE:  Seniors- Don't forget we will be having a senior Thanksgiving breakfast in the senior area on Wednesday morning, November 25th. Please try to bring your breakfast items to the senior area by 7:15 a.m. so we'll have ample time to set up and serve breakfast no later than 7:20 a.m.  Homerooms who were assigned to bring food:  Hokama, Shimizu,  and Mukai.  {Mr. Yokotake}
