1. Reminder to students that the areas around the art room and PE lockers are unauthorized areas OTHER THAN when using those areas for classes. Students should NOT loitering in those areas if NOT in class at all times before, during, after school nor should students be leaving campus after school by hopping the fences in these areas. All Students: We are in the process of finalizing specific plans for HBA spring sport try outs and gathering information for Pac-5 spring sport try outs (the tentative start dates are already posted in the HBA Athletic Handbook on the school website:
www.hba.net). Once everything is confirmed, we will post the information on the school website and also post hard copy flyers around campus. Baseball and softball conditioning is already underway. Please contact me at

9th, 10th, & 11th GRADES: You should be receiving your PSAT report in the mail this week. Your test booklets will be returned to you in your homerooms. Please use the booklet along with the report to review your answers and prepare for taking the test next time (if not the PSAT, then the SAT).

10th GRADE: In addition to the PSAT report, you will be receiving the PLAN test report and your PLAN test booklets. Please use the report and the test booklet to review and learn for it. This is a practice ACT.

Hawaiian Club: a. Aloha Hawaiian Club members--Please look out for reminders of Native Hawaiian Service
learning projects around the island of O'ahu. You must attend two by the end of the semester! Also, fundraising will begin soon. Please watch for reminders about help on fundraising!
b. May Day: Wahine (female) dancers, there will be hula practice every Wed. during lunch in the gym. Please meet promptly!
c. Kane (men) dancers: If you are interested in dancing the Haka please report to Ms. Chong in

10th & 11th GRADES: Attention Sophomores and Juniors. Do you need extra spending money for the weekend, an iphone, or a car? The After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) at HBA's Elementary campus is looking for energetic, enthusiastic, responsible leaders who are willing to work with K-6 graders 5 days a week. 11th & 12th GRADES: *Seniors and Juniors - Mr. Wendall Staszkow, the assistant admissions director at UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) will be on campus on Jan. 15 during B period. Anyone who is interested in hearing about UNLV, please come to the Counseling Center for a pass. 11th GRADE: If you have not done so, please turn in your camp registration forms ASAP. If you will be arriving late or leaving camp early, please make sure the back of your camp form was signed. {Mrs. Gruspe}

Seniors...it’s not too late! If you have not yet ordered your graduation products, you still can. Pick up a new INDIVIDUAL packet from the Counseling Office for cap and gown and other items. Everything BUT caps and gowns can be ordered online at Jostens.com. Caps and gowns will ship to the school. All other products will ship to your home in time for graduation. {Ms. Oda}
