1.    From Mr. Namba:
a.    The snack bar will be open after school this week for students to buy snacks.  We are checking to see whether this is a service that we will be offering in the future.

b.    Remember that your yearbook can be out only at non-class times.  Any yearbook that is out when a class is in session will be confiscated by the teacher and taken to the Vice Principal's Office by 3:30 p.m.  The yearbook will be kept for 7 days.  A repeat offense will result in harsher consequences.
2.    Students: Tomorrow is yearbook distribution day!  If you would like to purchase a yearbook cover or autograph supplement, we have a limited supply on sale in Room 300B-- come by anytime in the morning, break, lunch or after-school this week.  Each item is $1.00.  {Mr. Honzaki}

3.    Maybe you are not paying attention to the bulletin announcements, but this is one you don't want to miss...This Thursday night there will be an Evening Worship in the MPR from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.  Come at 5:30 for some free food...if you want to donate some food, let me know.  It's going to be an awesome time of worship.  {Mrs. Gruspe}

4.   All library books and outstanding fines are due by May 15, 2009.  Arrangements must be made with Mrs. Huster for extension of due date.  {Mrs. Hayashi}

5.   Bowling: Everyone interested in trying out for bowling next year should sign up with Mrs. Hayashi in the library.  Summer practices start after finals in June and continue in July.  {Mr. Hayashi}

6.   From Mrs. Yahata, Summer School:
a.    Summer School students who are planning to drive to school and wish to park on campus must apply for a parking permit before Summer School starts.  Permits are available at the Middle School office for a fee of $30, $40, or $60 (depending on the length of your courses).

b.    *The Summer School 2009 registration deadline is May 15.   Check your catalog for courses and registration form.  The following classes are closed: Computer Applications, Communication Skills, and SAT Prep.  The catalog is also online at www.hba.net
6.     From Mr. Oshiro, Athletic Director:
a.    All Students:  For your information, the gym will be closed for most, if not all, of the summer due to renovations.  All HBA summer sports will continue in some form or fashion, but they won't be in our gym.  Annual events canceled for this summer are:  Eagle Hoop Camp, Volleyball Skills Clinic, ILH Boys Intermediate Summer Basketball League, and HBA Summer Recreation Classes.  Contact me if you have any questions.

b.    All Students:  Weight Training & Conditioning for football - all levels - started April 13, 2009 and will be ongoing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Mid-Pacific Institute weight room.  A small towel is required.  If you are participating in another school sport you may come out when your season is finished.  Weight training and conditioning is not mandatory, but highly recommended.  If you have any questions, please e-mail Coach Ishii at ishiia003@hawaii.rr.com or contact him at 864-9085.

c.    All Spring Sport Athletes:  Please launder and return your school issued uniforms to the athletic office as soon as possible.  Uniforms should be bagged and labeled with your name.  Seniors, remember that this is part of your graduation checklist.  If you fail to turn in your uniforms, you won't be allowed to walk at graduation.
