*=Repeat Announcements 1. From the Registrar (Mr. Tanigawa): a. 2Qtr, SY2008-2009 Honor Roll / Gold Club Lunch & Dessert Coupons. Be sure to use your lunch and dessert coupons! The cafeteria will not honor them after Monday, January 19th.
b. 2Qtr / 1Sem Report Card Grade Questions. If you have a question regarding a 2Qtr / 1Sem grade(s) you received on your report card, see your teacher(s) by Monday, January 12th.
2. From the Vice-Principal (Mr. Namba): a. Congratulations to the students who received 0 demerits during the 2nd quarter. Please use your snack bar coupon from Tues., Jan. 6 through Fri., Jan. 16, 2009. {Mr. Namba}
b. *WARNING: Beginning in January, any students found NOT to be wearing Mills clothing will be issued an automatic 4 hour, Saturday detention in addition to any demerits. Students are allowed to wear a NON-Mills jacket to school UNTIL the first school bell. Once school starts, all students need to be wearing Mills clothing and Mills jackets. A number of students have been wearing NON-Mills shorts, pants and jackets. Also, students have been wearing T-shirts under their Mills jackets. None of these is acceptable. Use the winter break to obtain more Mills clothes if needed but be prepared come next quarter. Thanks for your cooperation.
3. The Front Office is looking for students interested in School Service during A and B periods. If this looks like something you would be interested in doing, please see your counselor to do a schedule change and report to Ms. Darapiza in the Front Office. Thank you!
4. Hey Guys! Don’t throw away all your old clothes; donate them to IHS. NHS is having a clothing and toiletries drive for IHS starting today until the 16th. Drop off will be in the mornings at the bottom of the hill. {Mrs. Nakano}
5. INTERACT Club: Happy New Year! There is going to be an Interact club meeting this Friday during lunch in Room C-102. Lunch will be provided for members so please be prompt. {Mrs. Goya}
9th-11th Grades: Servant Group--Meeting, Wednesday, Jan. 7th, during lunch in the bandroom. {Mrs. Gruspe}
11th Grade: Junior Camp--Please turn in your camp registration forms by Tomorrow if you are planning on going to camp. We will be having cabin sign-ups today during break in front of the Christian Ministries office. {Mrs. Gruspe}
11th-12th Grades: Parking Information. If you missed receiving a parking application in the mail, please pick up a form from Ms. Darapiza in the front office. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $175 before January 16th, and $200 thereafter. Please make checks payable to Hawaii Baptist Academy. Thank you. {Mr. Namba}
