Hawaiian Club Members: If you were at any part involved with helping to collect items for the island of Kiribati, donated items to the island of Kiribati, or helped in anyway with the project, please come by to Ms. Chong's room 106 on Monday, January 26th during lunch for a special picture and food presentation. It was through your efforts that the people of Kiribati were able to receive the help they needed and I would greatly like to thank you! Mahalo, Ms. Chong 3. Interact Club: There is going to be an Interact meeting this Friday during lunch in Room C-102. This will be your last chance to sign up for projects to complete your 1st semester hours. {Mrs. Goya} 4. The Eagle Eye will be selling Mad Lib Valentines Day ads for the upcoming February edition. Come by Room 300B by Friday, January 30th to select one of our pre-designed ads for your "special someone." Each ad costs $1, and you may add "extras" for additional cost. All money generated from this sale will go to charity. {Mr. Honzaki} 5. FROM CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES (T. Gruspe): a. Prayer Gathering on Thursday during lunch in Mrs. Gruspe's room...all are welcome to come. b. JAM meeting Tuesday, after school in Mrs. Gruspe's room. c. Servant Group: If you want to help with the City of Joy Ministry on Feb. 7th, please pick up a permission form from Mr. Lockridge.
6. FROM THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR (Mr. Oshiro) a. All Fall Sport Athletes: Once your season is completed, please launder, bag and label your school issued uniforms and return to the athletic office. Thanks, Mr. Oshiro b. All Students: If you're interested in a spring sport, please take note of the try out information posted around campus and online on the athletics page of the school website. Conditioning for some sports is ongoing and tryouts for some sports will begin in the next two weeks. Please come to the athletic office if you have any questions. Thanks, Mr. Oshiro c. All Students: Just a reminder that the pick up day for the HBA Athletic Booster Club fundraiser is this Saturday, January 31st at the Middle School from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The turkey legs and kalua pork are frozen so plan accordingly. If you would like to volunteer to help distribute, come see me at the athletic office. Thanks, Mr. Oshiro d. All Students: If you're interested in trying out for golf, there will be a short meeting on Tuesday, January 27th, after school at 2:00 PM outside the athletic office. This meeting is for any interested boys and girls in grades 7-12. Thanks, Mr. Oshiro e. All Students: If you're interested in trying out for track and field (all levels) or softball (intermediate only), try outs begin next Monday, February 2nd. We don't yet have the site information, but plan to bring your gear and catch the 3:00 PM Roberts Hawaii Bus to your respective try out. Once the sites are confirmed we'll send out the information. 7. *The NHS IHS Committee would like to thank those who brought in clothes and toiletries for IHS. For those who still want to donate, you can drop off your items in Mrs. Nakano’s room (107) through the 30th. Thank you! {Mrs. Nakano} 10th GRADE: 10th grade camp forms are due today, Monday, Jan. 26th. You will need to turn in your form with a $5 late fee if turned in after today. Cabin sign-ups will be tomorrow, Tuesday, during break in front of the Christian Ministries office. {Mrs. Gruspe} 11th-12th GRADES: There will be a meeting for the student counselors who will be going to 10th grade camp, today, Monday, 1/26, during lunch in Mrs. Gruspe's room.
