11th-12th Grades:
         This is to inform you that there have been recent and recurring incidents of students parking in HBA’s student parking area (at the Seventh Day Adventist Church) without authorization, i.e. they have NOT bought parking passes to allow them access to that parking area.  Also, there have been students who have been parking their cars on campus before 4:00 p.m. without administrative approval.
         In both situations, prior warnings have been given to all students through weekly bulletin notices as well as to those individuals who have inappropriately parked their cars as described above through specific parking ticket warnings issued by our security guards.  Unfortunately, these violations have continued despite repeated warnings.
         Because of this continuing problem, we have engaged Ace Towing Service who is located in Kalihi at 1040 Makepono Street.  They are a 24 hour service.  Typical charges for their services run about $160 for the initial tow and continue at $160 for each day of storage thereafter.  The initial charge is $425 if the vehicle has expired or missing registration and/or safety checks because it is considered to be abandoned.
         If you drive to school, please know that future parking violations at our student parking area or on campus could lead to your car being towed and that the costs of the towing and the inconvenience of recovering the car will be your responsibility.
         If you would like to buy student parking, the prorated cost is $11.00 a week.  For the 4th quarter, the cost is about $88.00 for the remainder of April and May.  Please know that the school does NOT make a profit on student parking and we try to keep these costs as low as possible for students.  Also, as you know, space is a rare and precious commodity for our school and, as such, on campus student parking is NOT a service we are able to provide at this time.
         Thank you for your cooperation.  {Mr. Namba}
