  1. CEW:  Today after school we will be having worship with Glowing Heart in the MPR.  Tomorrow night's worship will be from 6:30-8:00 in the MPR and 6:30 to 8:00 on Thursday in the Gym.  {Mrs. Gruspe}
  2. Middle School/ High School Snack Bar/Cafeteria Workers:  Thank you for your dedication and hard work throughout the school year.  Please note the following changes for CEW:
    • Monday and Friday:  There is a staggered lunch schedule in which the Middle  School students will take up the first part of lunch.  Therefore, please man your stations while your grade level is being served.
    • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:  Lunch begins the same time for everyone, 12:00-1:00.  High School workers will man the stations.  Middle School workers, please take a break unless you are asked to fill in.
    • High School Workers:  Please check your schedule and if you are going to be off campus for a service project, please let me know so I can find replacements.  {Mrs. Lee}
  3. All Students:  This Friday, March 14th is the Spring Spike Nite!  Our boys JV volleyball team plays Maryknoll at 4:30 PM...our boys varsity plays University High at 6:00 PM.  Celebrate the start of Spring Break by making plans to come out to support the teams and enjoy the FREE fried saimin, drinks and slush puppies courtesy of the HBA Athletic Booster Club.  HBA Pride...GO EAGLES!  Thanks, Mr. Oshiro
  4. All Winter Sport Athletes:  Please launder and return your school-issued uniforms to the athletic office as soon as possible.  Consumable items like t-shirts or swim suits are yours to keep.   Thanks, Mr. Oshiro
  5. *Please continue to support HBA’s efforts to earn college scholarships for high school seniors through Foodland's Shop for Higher Education Program.  We need to be ranked in the top 50 schools in order to qualify for a scholarship award.  HBA’s school code is 7521.  This program runs through March 25th.  [Mrs. Lee]
  6. *SUMMER SCHOOL 2008 [Mrs. Yahata]:  For your summer planning convenience, here is a list of important dates. Please call Supplemental Programs at 545-4485 if you have any questions.

    Middle/High School non-credit courses: June 16 - July 3 (3 weeks)
    High School credit courses: June 16 - July 11  (4 weeks)
    SAT Prep: June 13 - July 12
    Catalogs distributed through homerooms during the first week of April
    HBA priority registration: March 31 - April 11; date extended to April 18 for some middle school courses
    Open registration: April 14 - May 9
    Registration deadline: Friday, May 9
    Holidays: Wednesday, June 11, Kamehameha Day and Friday, 4th of July

GRADES 9-10: CEW--You will be doing your service projects tomorrow (Tuesday).  Please make sure you have turned in your permission form and don't forget to bring your own lunch, drink and water bottle.  You may change into appropriate work clothes, once you get to your work sight, but you must be back in dress code when you return to campus.  {Mrs. Gruspe}

GRADES 10-12All Students 16 Years of Age and Older:  If you have an understanding of volleyball or have experience keeping score AND are responsible and dependable, please see Coach Keith or Mr. Oshiro in the athletic office to sign up to work ILH matches.  We're looking for a "few good men (and women)".  {Mr. Oshiro}

GRADES 11-12:
  1. CEW--You will be doing your service projects on Wednesday.  Please make sure you have turned in your permission form and don't forget to bring your own lunch, drink and water bottle.  For those doing the car wash, you will need to keep your shirts on.  For those who are going to Hale Kuike or the Convalescent Center, you will be returning to campus to eat lunch. You may change into appropriate work clothes once you get to your work sight, but you must be back in dress code when you return to campus.  {Mrs. Gruspe}
  2. *Do you need extra spending money for the weekend, an ipod, or a car?  The After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) at HBA's Elementary campus is looking for energetic, enthusiastic, responsible leaders who are willing to work with K-6 graders (at least 3 days a week).  Pay starts at 7.25/hr.  Call Mr. Craig Chang at 533-1106 or email craigchang@hba.net for more information.  [Mr. Chang]
