Expression and Appreciation

Visual arts and performing arts are an integral part of student life at Hawaii Baptist Academy. Even the youngest children are given an opportunity to present music and drama during special programs. Visual art is showcased on both campuses. Performances include band and choir concerts, Christmas programs, and plays, all of which draw high levels of student interest and participation. Students also have opportunities to express themselves through multi-media productions created on the computer.

Whether singing in chapel, presenting in the classroom, playing in the band, being part of an instrumental or vocal ensemble, making a poster, creating a ceramic dinosaur, “starring” in their own video, or reading the morning scripture, students are encouraged to express themselves through visual and performing arts. In the process, they develop speaking and presentation skills and build self-confidence.
