Alumni
HBA’s first graduating class was three young men in 1954. Since then, about 3,300 students have joined the alumni ranks, with about 60% living in Hawaii. The development office maintains a database for alumni, assists alumni in keeping in touch with one another and the school, and features updates and profiles in the school newsletter. It also sponsors alumni events like the summer Ho‘olaule‘a for all alumni, usually held the first or second week of July. Reunion classes are encouraged to plan their get-togethers around this event.
Ho‘olaule‘a 2008
This year’s Ho‘olaule‘a events will be held July 9-11. The activity schedule is as follows:
July 9/Wed: All-alumni Golf Tournament at Navy-Marine Course , Pearl Harbor
July 10/Thu: Networking luncheon, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, Elementary School Parlor
July 11/Fri: All-alumni Ho‘olaule‘a, 6:00-9:00 pm, Middle School Campus
2008 Reunion Classes: 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003. These classes will be recognized at the Friday night dinner.
Ho‘olaule‘a 2009
Dates of the 2009 Ho‘olaule‘a events are July 8-10.
A special celebration for all alumni and past and current faculty/staff is planned for July 10, 2009 to commemorate HBA’s 60th anniversary year.
Reunion classes to be honored at the 2009 Ho‘olaule‘a dinner on July 10 are:
1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004.
