Boys Varsity Bowling Team Wins ILH & State Championship
At the HHSAA state bowling championships, held October 29th and 30th at the Schofield Bowling Center in Central Oahu, the HBA boys put in a steady performance under difficult lane conditions to claim the state title with a total pinfall of 7,798. The Eagles comfortably outdistanced Pearl City (7,616) and Mililani (7,439). The oiling pattern on the lanes was one that all teams were unaccustomed to. As a result everyone seemed to struggle early in the tournament as they made their adjustments.
The Eagles’ title was their fourth in the past six years. HBA also won state championships in 2004, 2006 and 2007.
