HBA Student Winner in Honolulu Bible Bee Competition
Congratulations to sophomore Kalei Hosaka, the Senior Division winner of the Honolulu Bible Bee contest held on Saturday, September 12
Kalei won over $500 in cash and prizes for his accomplishments. The Bible Bee is a Bible memory verse competition for children and youth similar to a spelling bee, except that contestants are required to recite Bible passages and facts rather than spell words. The purpose of the Bible Bee is to promote godly character in children and youth by motivating them to memorize passages and facts found in the Bible. If he scored nationally in the top 100 of his age group, he could qualify to go to nationals in Washington, D.C. in November. Best of luck to Kalei to make the nationals.
