This year the paper decided to list the honorees as a "Fab 15" group as opposed to a traditional first team and second team. 2005 graduate Jayme Lee - now playing for the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine - was the last HBA player to earn first team all-state honors (Honolulu Advertiser and Honolulu Star-Bulletin).
Palmer led HBA to its first state title in division II volleyball and was also a unanimous selection as an ILH (Interscholastic League of Honolulu) First Team All-Star.
Also earning recognition on the HSB All-State Team as honorable mention selections were senior
Keisa Miura, junior Kelly Chang and sophomore
C'era Oliveira.
