The two-day event featured eight teams and all matches were held March 7th and 8th at the Erdman Athletic Center on the Seabury Hall campus in Makawao, Maui.
The Eagles won their pool on the first day of play by sweeping Hana HS, Baldwin HS and splitting with La Jolla HS. However, they won the pool by point differential as they defeated La Jolla 25-18, while losing 24-25. <La Jolla HS is a 3A school from the San Diego area that recently won the California 3A state title in boys basketball.>
On the second and final day of the tournament, HBA swept Seabury Hall and Waipahu HS and split again with La Jolla, 25-14, 24-25. After defeating Waipahu again in the playoff semi-finals, the team swept La Jolla in the title match 21-18, 21-15 (the playoff matches were played to 21 and were the best 2 out of 3 format).
HBA junior Matthew Lui and sophomore Ryan Leung were named to the all-tourney team.
