On January 11, 2008, the elementary campus conducted a National Geography Bee to determine the school finalist.
Jonathan Abe (school finalist), Randal Baniaga (tied for first runner up), Daniel Kimoto (tied for first runner up), Jonathan Higa, Dylan John Loo, Kelly Matthews, Amelia McKenzie, Matthew Sakai, and Tyler Yonkers participated in this event. Each contestant was selected following a preliminary round held in December of all students from grades four through six. Parents, students, faculty and guests in attendance were kept in suspense as the students advanced through the different rounds of competition. Congratulations to all the participants for a job well done!
